Is a GT1749V actually a VNT15 or a VNT17?

Okay, so...
The VNT15 and GT 1749V belong to the GT17V family.
The difference between the two chargers:

VNT 15: Has 9 flaps on the control ring.
GT1749V: Features 11 flaps on the control ring.
However, the compressor wheel of the two turbochargers is different.

That's not entirely correct. My GT1749V has the part number 038 253 019 N and comes from an ASV or a newer ALH engine. Yes, these parts were even used in the 90PS TDI!
