hello,
I read that the identification mark for the WFS1 should be the inscription "WF0" or "WFO" on the key. However, neither of my keys has this inscription; they both only have "AH". On the keys for my girlfriend's G3 AFN '97, which should have a WFS, there is indeed "WFO" and "AH".
Does this mean I now have one of the very last ones without WFS? I want to install a control unit with the number 028 906 021 D (I'm almost certain it's the same part number as mine, but I'll double-check tomorrow). If it's now from a car without WFS, will it work, or do I need to find one of those extremely rare control units without WFS?
Sure, no problem!
alex

Hello Alex,
The 021D model shouldn't have a WFS (Window Film System) yet, but it came from an Audi 80.
Your Golf should have a 021C spark plug.
In the subsequent generations of MSTGs, for example, the brake inputs were...
'Whether the wiring is different at VW and Audi - and whether this has always been the case with older models.'
I've never investigated that, so you should be prepared for the possibility that the STG is...
It might cause your Golf to behave in a somewhat unusual way.
Best regards,
Rudi
