hello everyone,
I can only repeat myself, this is an amazing forum.
I'm considering whether to buy 1Z or AFN nozzle inserts for my injectors. It's less about a small increase in performance and more about the possibility of switching to an AFN engine in the future. This would allow me to reuse the refurbished injectors in a new vehicle.
Does the 1Z nozzle have a different hole geometry/hole angle/spray angle compared to the AFN nozzle?
I couldn't find anything about that in the forum.
0,185 gegenüber 0,205 Lochdruchmesser u. 190bar Öffnungsdruck der 1. S'I understand what you mean by 'taufe'.'
I'm planning to convert my Passat to run on vegetable oil.
With a smaller hole diameter of 0.185 compared to 0.205, and assuming the same amount of fluid, a higher velocity (Bernoulli's principle) should result in better atomization. Are there any negative effects observed with the 0.205 nozzle, specifically related to the '1Z' characteristic curve or flow rate?
Is a higher opening pressure for the first stage beneficial when operating with vegetable oil?
Has anyone had experience with this? If so, what kind of experience? Is it related to 10 bar?
Are there any reliable dyno tests available for this direct injection engine?
'Is a 0.205mm nozzle for vegetable oil only effective with increased opening pressure and adjusted injection timing? Because higher opening pressure equals a later injection timing? Does this shorten the time between the first stage of injection and the main injection?'
Not to mention the low cetane number of the fuel.
Because, according to my information, poor atomization actually increases the amount of sludge that enters the engine oil (polymerization).
And last but not least, a classic question to add to the mix

.
Do the experience values indicate that when the first stage is set (2 spring holders), the second stage remains within the green range, and that the opening pressure of the second stage does not change?
Wo liegt bei der 1Z Düse der Öffnungsdruck der 2. Stufe? Las mal was von 300bar. Nnot anymore?
Interesting idea. Here are some images from the tdiclub forum.
Well then, my thirst for knowledge is great

.
I'm looking forward to any response.
