Hello,

I have a question: Is it possible to adjust the coolant auxiliary heater settings directly through the VAG diagnostic system?
For example, during the winter, leave all three glow plugs activated up to a temperature of 70°C, and during the summer, turn them all off to further reduce energy consumption and ensure that the glow plugs are never actually used.

Hello!
No, you can't just turn that off easily. But yours probably shouldn't be working like that anymore, as it's a heat pump (PD). And to my knowledge, all heat pumps have a PTC auxiliary heater that doesn't heat the coolant but warms the heating air when needed. However, since very little heating is required in summer, it's rarely activated.

Best regards,
Dirk.

I would never say that. In winter, the warm air only starts flowing when the engine temperature is above 40°C, and even then, it takes a long time with the heater on... So, I don't think all PD engines have a pre-heating function. The Climatronic systems in PQ35 vehicles (Golf V, Touran, etc.) do have this feature.

I would have thought that if I can adjust the preheating, I should also be able to adjust the coolant heating.
