Hello,
'I mentioned this problem here some time ago, but unfortunately, the previous posts didn't offer any helpful solutions. I have a Passat TDI with a 130 hp AVF engine.'
Occasionally, the car accelerates on its own while driving. It's only for a very short time, causing the car to briefly accelerate sharply and lurch forward (maybe for about 1 second).
Hhelp!!!
Best regards, Arne.

Okay, I just skimmed the old thread. As you mentioned, you've already replaced the coolant temperature sensor.
I'm afraid this error will only be resolved with a lot of research effort.
Several sources could be causing the error, so the only solution is to log data and hope that an outlier will appear long enough to identify it.
Can you somehow trigger the error?

"... that sounds so much like the G62 that, if I were you, I would exchange it again..."
It's possible that a new part could be defective, or perhaps there's an issue with the wiring to the G62.
It's better to waste 25 euros than spend forever searching for something.

Hello,
I can't reproduce the error on demand. It only occurs when I drive for a long time within the specified RPM ranges. I only have a trial version of VAGcom, and unfortunately, I don't have a laptop to log data while driving. What else can I do?
Best regards, Arne.

It's possible that the ESP isn't fully recalibrating...
The consumption display also receives its data from the energy management system (EMS)/control unit.
Possibly the point machine is dirty or slightly misaligned.
It's just a guess; I had the same problem with my old Passat sometimes, but it was sold before I could find the cause.

Even if the G62 were defective, it should under no circumstances inject fuel at speeds far above idle and without the accelerator pedal being pressed. My suspicion leans more towards a faulty throttle potentiometer or wiring.

...which can also be observed using a VAG-COM device or a multimeter.
However, I would choose an analog multimeter in that case, if a VAG-COM diagnostic tool is not available.

[Translating...]
