BMW 325tds Starting problems

I have a 325tds 1998 Model Year
when engine is hot or cold u have to wind started for at least 20 to30 sec
till engine starts
once engine runs no smoke performance fine fuel cons good

I suspect the engine temp probe to be defective ha sany one got
reference value sin ohms for me

Well lets talk about your problem:

The injection system of yor car is nearly the same as in the VW VP TDI engine (exept of having 6 cylinders). I think you have a problem with the injection pump timing.
On the mainpage of Rainers Turbodiesel page yo will find a quite good explanation of how to adjust the injection pump without expensive workshop tools.
