Golf 1J ABS Light: Repair Guide & Troubleshooting (Solution)

ABS light is on, rear sensor cable is damaged.

Cause:
Adverse tolerances in the assembly between the sensor cable and the mounting bracket in the rear left and right fender areas. In a worst-case scenario, this can lead to damage to the sensor cable.



Check the connection of the sensor cable to the mounting brackets to ensure it is securely fastened. If the sensor cable can be easily detached from the brackets, please squeeze the brackets together by 1 mm to a maximum of 2 mm.
