Hello diesel mechanics,
I'm currently driving my Audi here in Russia, and recently, when I try to accelerate, I only see black smoke behind me. I know there are many topics related to this, which I hope I have read through. I bought a VAG_COM about a week ago and am still waiting for it to be activated (I need to familiarize myself with it first). I've been to several service stations about this problem, but everyone says something different. Audi doesn't want to deal with older cars. If I add up what all of them are asking for, it totals €4500, without any warranty. What information do you need in order to suggest a possible solution? Oh, and I forgot to mention that I often find abbreviations like LMM, LDA, VTG, EDC, N75, etc., in this forum related to cars, but I'm completely clueless about cars. Please avoid using abbreviations in your responses, as I can't find them in my book.

Thank you in advance.
Okay, here's the translation:

While you're still waiting for the activation, I recommend the following:
1. Visually inspect the intercooler piping for cracks, holes, or loose clamps. "The car is smoking" usually means that there's insufficient air entering the cylinder (if the smoke is black).
2. Abbreviations, https://community.dieselschrauber.org/en/viewtopic.php?t=13234 because it's impossible without them. Although LMM is missing, which stands for "Luftmassenmesser" (mass airflow sensor). N75 is the valve that controls the turbocharger boost, without having to say VTG (variable turbine geometry) right now. However, that is explained in the abbreviations section.
3. Basics of troubleshooting for TDI engines https://community.dieselschrauber.org/en/viewtopic.php?t=3285.
Then you could actually start using VAG-COM to find out exactly why it's smoking.

I have already checked the hoses and connections, and I've found that there is an oil film inside them. Now that I can use VAG-COM, what data should I record to be able to make a diagnosis?

It could also be the airflow sensor, the boost pressure valve, or the intake manifold pressure sensor, or the hoses might be clogged, although I wouldn't think that's likely. However, I would probably try replacing the airflow sensor first.

Assuming I can now use VAG-COM effectively, what data should be recorded in order to make a diagnosis?
Is there any visual material available that shows the location of individual components such as the mass airflow sensor, boost pressure valve, intake manifold pressure sensor, etc.?

For starters:
"Simultaneously engage gears 8 and 10 in the 3rd (or preferably 4th) gear, applying full throttle from approximately 1200 rpm up to at least 3000 rpm (optimally: up to around 4300 rpm)."
2. Run the engine at medium speed for a few minutes in a varied operating mode (idling, partial load, full throttle) between 1200 and 3000 rpm.

It doesn't seem to be available here. Please provide us with the logs first, and then you will likely receive tips on where those parts are located.

I wanted to send a file, but how can I attach a file or upload images here?

I saved a file with the same name (Audi A4 1.9 TDI AFN 1996 - again, error code 00575).

I fiddled with some cables and connectors, and suddenly the black smoke in the rearview mirror disappeared. What's still missing is speed. When I press the accelerator, the car slowly gains speed (pedestrians in suits overtake me; it's sad).

What's still missing is speed. When I press the gas pedal, the car slowly gains speed (pedestrians in suits overtake me; that's sad).
Then take some more
2 logs, as mentioned above:
1. Simultaneously engage MWB 8 and 10 in the 3rd (or preferably 4th) gear with
full throttle , starting at approximately 1200 rpm and maintaining it until at least 3000 rpm (optimally: up to ~4300 rpm).
and then}
2. Run the engine at medium speed for a few minutes in a varied operating mode (idling, partial load, full throttle) between 1200 and 3000 rpm.

In your first log, everything was included at once, and also, you didn't really go full throttle even once.

Please provide the original, unchanged .csv file so I can upload it. I'm currently dealing with a bunch of numbers and need the raw data.

Hello Ulf,
I could only conduct the test in city traffic with a lot of congestion. My Audi has an automatic transmission, so I can't shift gears.
