Hi everyone, I just spoke with a chip tuner I trust; he previously chipped my Passat 131 and I was very happy with the results. Now, I asked him about chipping my A6 V6 TDI 150hp (AFB) to see what's possible regarding software. He said he can program it to achieve 190 hp and 380 Nm. He also mentioned that we wouldn't need to adjust the transmission control unit, which would reduce the risk of damage to the transmission.
What do you think about this? Has anyone had experience with having a V6 engine chipped and running with that kind of power? Does the transmission hold up with an extra 70 Nm (approximately 51 lb-ft) of torque? At a certain torque range, it seems the shifting isn't working correctly anymore; does anyone know what that threshold is?
Thank you in advance for the answers.

Regardless of the fact that I won't be able to help: You should at least mention which type of transmission it is...

Hey, your chip tuner should know about this. If not, then give it a try.
See "faux pas" and related terms.
