Okay, since I'm not an expert, I just wanted to know if I've correctly identified the right part as the control unit!

Do the following numbers appear on it?

What is that mysterious tax device number?

I'm afraid you've found the windshield wiper motor.

P.S.: The engine control unit (ECU) is located (at least in the G3 model) in the coolant reservoir on the passenger side.

Perhaps a DIY repair manual would be a good starting point .

For diesel engines, the part number starts with '0281', while for gasoline engines, it starts with '0261'.
