Good evening, everyone.
I was just at the garage (it wasn't the friendly one) because my Polo had been displaying an error message in the exhaust system for a few days. The diagnostic scan revealed error code 429 F - unknown error! So far, so good. The error was cleared and hasn't appeared since. However, nobody in the workshop knew what to do about the error .
Has anyone got a plan to say something about this? Or does anyone know where I might find lists of error codes? (I've already been searching, but haven't found anything suitable yet)
PS: While driving, you don't notice anything. Polo 9N 1,9 GT BLT+HDS |

Hello,
VAG-COM should have displayed the error. Specifically, with a code, intermittently or permanently, and with a descriptive text. Regarding your number, I have nothing to say, perhaps convert it to decimal and search for both representations.

thanks for the tip
in the workshop, the error was read out using ESI Tronic, and it only showed an "unknown error". I will now observe whether the error still occurs.
I've also already purchased an OBD adapter and VAGCOM, but I'm still new to this area and don't know it very well (you don't want to damage anything, after all).
As far as I know, with VAGCOM you will get an error code displayed. Where can I get it decoded? Are there any tables or anything else (besides those from VW)? Polo 9N 1,9 GT BLT+HDS |

It was the light bulbs. The error has occurred again today. Okay, here's the translation:
"Then I used VAGCOM to read out the following:
1 Error found:
17055 - Filament Cylinder 1 (Q10) electrical fault in the circuit
P0671 - 35-00 - -
I'll start researching right away to see if I can find anything.
I've then deleted the error code (in the hope that the warning light will go out). However, this unfortunately didn't work. I don't have a lot of experience with VAGCOM yet (so please don't criticize), but how can I now get the light to go out? Do I need to reset any parameters or how can I do that?
Thank you for your help so far.

First, fix the error. I suspect that it is currently in an active state and therefore cannot be deleted. Man muss es nicht brauchen, aber man muss es haben! |

An error code appears immediately if the error persists.
Since your Q10 is likely expired, and the "EURO4 emission standard" compliance is relevant, the code and the light will continue to illuminate until you install a new one.

Okay, I've now checked the spark plugs, and to my surprise, it's actually the plug on cylinder 1 that's faulty. I'll go and get some new ones tomorrow and install them. If anyone has a hot tip for me regarding the installation, please let me know. Should I, for example, use copper paste or ceramic paste when installing the new plugs, or should I just install them dry?

Where did you know about the candle? Did you identify it based on any error lists? If so, where can I get them? Polo 9N 1,9 GT BLT+HDS |

definitely, install it while the engine is cold, because if the engine is still warm, it will be very difficult to remove it again. I only apply them very slightly (minimal torque) in this way, and you can easily remove them. Man muss es nicht brauchen, aber man muss es haben! |

At Beru, there is special candle wick grease. Otherwise, ceramic paste. Corrosion is reported in connection with ALU parts when using copper paste. I haven't had any problems with ceramic after 1 year. Gruß Christian

Yesterday, my BGW (presumably a vehicle or equipment) also seems to have had a problem, specifically "exhaust workshop" in the FIS.
Okay, so I reversed it and connected the VCDS.
Please provide the text you would like me to translate. I will translate it into English, keeping all s exactly as they are. I will only provide the translation, not any explanations.
[code] Address 01: Motor
Part Number: 038 997 016 K
Part and/or Version: R4 2.0L EDC G000SG 0092
Encoding: 0000072
Operating Number: WSC 42781
1 Error found:
17055 - Filament Cylinder 1 (Q10): Electrical fault in the circuit
P0671 - 000 - -
Environmental conditions:
Speed: 0 /min
Torque: 204.0 Nm
Speed: 0.0 km/h
Last: 0.0 %
Voltage: 11.63 V
Binary Value: 00101100
Temperature: 0.0°C
Binary Value: 00110000
Readiness: 0 0 1 0 1
I was amazed that the engine seems to be monitoring the spark plugs individually.
I have deleted the error, but it is now back in memory, but currently without a warning in the FIS, for whatever reason.
Well, I'll get a candle in addition to the G62/G2, haha, the car is just getting old.
I believe this is relevant to AU (Annual Testing) if I need to get my car inspected in February?
