Also definitiv Handlungsbedarf in der Feinabstimmung. Habe ihn mal gefragt wie er das den gemacht hat und meine befürchtete Antwort bekommen. DHe simply took over the positions that the old guard held!

Okay, now to my question. Since he, like me, is a wheelchair user, do you think it's possible to adjust the position based solely on the eccentricity of the pulley? I think I might be able to reach the pulley and tensioner with my long arms, and since he has the longer front section, there's also some space.

Attached are a Screenshot of the TDI timing tool and the log file from the initial setup.

Thank you very much!

Regards,

Tobi.

In a certain area, that should work. Since the deviation is very small, I would test it in your place. Otherwise, you can also work on the pump side of the T4 using the northwest wheel. icon_wink.gif

Thank you for the reply, mulle. Which option would you consider easier? The camshaft pulley is, of course, located a bit higher up, and would likely be easier to reach for us from a wheelchair.

Thank you for the answer, mulle. Which option would you consider easier? The camshaft pulley is, of course, located a bit higher and would probably be easier to reach for us from a wheelchair.

The method involving the NW system is very delicate. However, it can be solved (the cone) and slightly rotated in the desired direction. By removing the intercooler hose and the battery cover (on the side), it can be easily loosened (LOOSEN, not removed or slipped icon_wink.gif) with an impact wrench, allowing for slight rotation and securing. (The rotation is in millimeters).

The method using the roller, however, is preferable. icon_biggrin.gif icon_wink.gif icon_wink.gif

Yes, I had thought that too. I think the eccentric shape of the roller provides more control and prevents it from straying too far from the target.

Thank you for your feedback.

So, on the AAB (2.4 naturally aspirated diesel - but likely built similarly to the TDI), you can quite easily adjust the injection timing by rotating the injection pump.
Thanks to the Pöl drive (we have to be able to do that), we can easily manage this on the side of a highway rest stop icon_smile.gif.
Does the TDI have any other changes besides the additional tensioner?

We often set up the FB partially from below, so we have to be underneath it. However, some tasks also require working from above. This change will probably be very difficult for you, Tobi icon_sad.gif.

... there was another T.

I don't know what the f*ck it was.

Thank you, Martin.

I'll just see how I can get access to the pulley and, if it's possible, I'll proceed as described in the instructions, using the pulley.

Regards,

Tobi.
