Hello everyone,
I have a Golf 5 TDI BKC that was chipped to a boost pressure of 1.55 bar. I found that to be too high, so I went back to the tuner and had the original software reinstalled. Even with the original software, there are boost pressure peaks of up to 1.3 bar, which are then reduced.
I would like you to evaluate the stock condition compared to the tuned condition.
Since I still find the print quality to be quite poor, I have checked or replaced the following items:
- LMM
- Charge pressure control valve.
- AGR control valve
- Turbocharger pressure sensor.
- VTG (Vehicle Train Monitoring System) basic settings checked, pressure difference approximately 110 mbar.
- Air filter
- Diesel filters
- Boost pressure paths.
Please provide the text you would like me to translate from German to English. I need the text to be able to translate it.

Hi.
this here

Have you read it yet?
A car with an ASV engine (which is likely not entirely dissimilar to the BKC engine with 110 hp) that also exhibited noticeable turbo lag.
Greetings.

Hello,
The series isn't pretty, but it's okay. It's obvious that some things weren't considered during the tuning process. But that's alright, there are tuners (see my signature) who can fix it.
Important: Please don't try to modify the Vehicle Test Gear (VTG) in any way. Using DIY methods will likely be time-consuming and could ultimately prevent the tuner from enjoying the vehicle.
Possible, but unlikely: VTG is not expanding sufficiently.
Best regards, Rainer.

Hello,
@Dieselmartin: Thanks for the link, I'll read through it. I've already done a lot of searching, but unfortunately, I haven't found what I'm looking for.
@ Rainer K.: Thanks for your feedback. It's reassuring to hear that you think the series can be left as is. I didn't want to add any rotating parts to the VTG linkage, as the pressure will eventually regulate to the target value, and I didn't want to further delay the pressure build-up.
I've also been thinking about the VTG not opening completely, but the closing mechanism (i.e., the pressure buildup) seems to work well and quickly. The problem is that the pressure release is too slow. I can only access the VTG from below, so I'll probably have to put it on a lift to take a closer look.
Unfortunately, you live far away; otherwise, I would have contacted you directly.
bashful
