The following is a motor control unit (ECU) from a Volkswagen Golf 3, specifically for the ABS engine, 1.8-liter gasoline engine.

Is this control unit/motor equipped with an immobilizer?

Unfortunately, the VW employee behind the counter couldn't provide any specific information, except that the part number, which originally ended in "L," had been changed to end in "X."
