My name is Stefan, and I'm actually involved in the Mitsubishi scene. My Mitsubishi Grandis has a 2.0 TDI engine. Thanks to this forum and the informative reports, I've often been able to find help when the workshops (both Mitsubishi and VW) were overwhelmed.

In my free time, I enjoy collecting vintage Mitsubishi cars, keeping aquariums, and, as a former chain smoker, using e-cigarettes.
Okay, I still need to buy some wheat beer, and I wish you all a great weekend.

Regards,

Stefan.

Hello everyone,
For myself and other co-drivers with VW engines, it would be extremely helpful to know the VW engine code. icon_sad.gif Apparently, I am the only co-driver here. icon_biggrin.gif But I can live with that. }
"Definitely, no Mitsubishi dealer could help me, and when ordering spare parts, there's an extra charge added."
Even when searching through the forum, the engine identification number would be very important to me.
The internal Mitsubishi part number for the engine is BSY. Maybe someone here can make use of that information.

Greetings from Munich. I only finished my construction site in Munich on Thursday.
I really liked it.

May God preserve Upper Palatinate.

Stefan.

Hello,

The engine should be relatively similar to the BKD engine. The BKD isn't bad, but early models are prone to developing cracks in the cylinder head, which can lead to coolant loss.
Over time, the cylinder head was modified.

Best regards, Rainer.

Thank you, Rainer. I'll do some research on the BKD engine now.

Regards,

Stefan.
