Hello everyone,
I'm currently having issues with the air conditioning system in my Audi A3 8L 2000 Q.
and might need some assistance from the specialists.
The goal would be to perform a stack dump analysis to reorient the pointers.

Follow-up test OK, -> 17 -> Control unit not found.

AI is on the table (unfortunately, not a VDO)
- Pin 1, 20, and 23 on the blue connector are connected to icon_smile_thumb_up.gif2.0 VDC.
- Pins 7, 9, 22, and 24 of the blue connector are connected to GND (ground).
- Pin 25, Green connector, K-line.

The OBD2 socket is on the table.
- Pins 4 and 5 of the OBD2 connector are connected to ground (GND).
- Pin 16: OBD2 is at 12.0 VDC.
- Pin 7: OBD2 connects to Pin 25 via the green connector.

What am I doing wrong?

Best regards,

Hi,

Without knowing the pin configuration of the instrument cluster, I suspect the pins are connected in a mirrored fashion.

Pin 7 is the correct pin for the K-line.

Hello Rainer,

Thank you for the information.

That would have been perfect right now.
No, unfortunately not, the connection pages are correct.

The AI is blinking and beeping, as one might expect.
Only the four pointers are not moving.

Do I need any other hardware?
Is it possible to run the test?

Best regards,

Hi Rainer,

You were so close!

The K-line for the Audi is connected to PIN 28 (GREEN).

Not on pin 25 (BLUE), Golf.

Everything is going well now.

Best regards and thank you.
