Here's a quick note for you, @Herbert. Yes, I know the post was very old. But my thought was that whoever saw it might (hopefully) receive an email about the topic and perhaps be prompted to share their experiences (okay, it didn't work). Since similar problems seem to occur from time to time, it was worth trying, and it could also help future readers.
Okay, I'd be happy to follow his recommendation and rewrite my observations here.
It's a 2.0 BRD model with approximately 307,000 km. For the past two weeks, it has intermittently entered "limp mode" on the highway at moderate speeds (100 to 120 km/h) while being driven gently. Most of the time, the following errors are displayed (abbreviated for clarity):

"Occasionally, I also get error code 0299 (charge pressure difference). When both errors occur, the PDE error always appears first. However, I can't currently see how the PDE error could be the cause of the LD error. I don't see any connection between the two, and I also believe that the PDE error should cause hesitation." I only saw one post online with this combination of symptoms, and it didn't have a clear diagnosis.
Overall, it's running pretty well; the performance is quite okay (but I don't have anything to compare it to). You only notice the start of the emergency running mode by the indicator light; there's no jerking or anything like that. So, I've now logged the pressure readings over two trips. "Outbound" trip: started cold, then a few minutes in the city, followed by 12 km on the highway. It went into emergency running mode after about 5 minutes. The rest was city driving for 3 minutes. "Return" trip: the same in reverse, and no emergency running mode occurred. When I look at the logged pressure curves for the target and actual boost pressure, I can see that the pressure generally doesn't reach the target (but the graph isn't cropped at any point). However, during the drive there, it becomes apparent that both things are actually running parallel (albeit at a low level) later on in the city.
I could imagine that...
- The turbocharger pressure control is malfunctioning. I replaced the valve about 4 years ago (with a Pierburg brand part). So it's less likely, but still possible. Visual inspection of UD (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) tubes revealed no abnormalities.
- Turbocharger boost pressure leak, visual inspections have not yet revealed the cause.
- The vertical travel gauge may be stuck; unfortunately, the linkage on the BRD is so hidden that it's impossible to see or reach, even without disassembly. I'll have to check it when the weather is better. But it seems to be moving somewhat (city driving) - and if I test it, then definitely

The DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) could also be a problem, but in my opinion, the symptoms don't seem to fit.
I'm going to inspect the vacuum hoses more closely, section by section, and then run the loading line under steam. But I don't think there will be anything wrong. It will take some time (weather

Before I proceed, I would appreciate some input. Those with relevant experience regarding this issue will likely be able to rule out certain possibilities based on the descriptions, such as DFP (likely referring to a specific component), vacuum control valve, leaks, etc. I assume that the behavior will exhibit different characteristics depending on the underlying cause. And maybe someone knows of a connection between the two errors.
