Yes, the same thing is happening for me. It's not performing any better than before with the LMM, but you can definitely feel the turbo kicking in much more noticeably. It's not accelerating off the traffic light as quickly.
I also couldn't see the black smoke with the diode in my rearview mirror, but apparently, quite a bit more came out, which, as I said, explains the comments from my colleagues .
