Power loss 66kW Golf 4 TDI

Unfortunately, you haven't provided enough information for me to give a more helpful answer than "something is probably wrong."

- What type of 66kW TDI engine is it (AGR or ALH)? (This should be stated in the service booklet).
- Are any lights flashing on the dashboard?
- Have you ever had any error codes read? (A good workshop usually doesn't charge for that, and you can put 5 euros in their coffee jar ).

Based on your questions, I think you probably can't do much on your own. Or would "then check the VTG clearance" mean something to you?
