I think Jan means that it doesn't automatically switch to traffic announcements icon_question.gif. Because normally, when you're listening to a CD, cassette, or AUX (!!!), it switches to a traffic announcement. However, when you're listening to the radio (which is done using the FM converters), the radio stays on the selected frequency and doesn't switch!

I would recommend connecting the sound to the radio via an AUX input. If there is no AUX input available, consider purchasing a radio with an AUX input!

Best regards,
Mathias.

After reading all of this, I will probably have to resort to using a 12 V power supply.

Is this the most elegant and secure solution icon_cool.gif?

What kind of computer are we talking about?

Regarding the topic of "CD changer simulation" to obtain an AUX input, I have at least two bookmarks saved on my computer.

Wow, that's outrageous!
198 tux for a 12 V DC power supply icon_eek.gif now I'm finally fully awake icon_exclaim.gif.

That definitely can't be right.

There's just nothing useful to be found at elektroStrand.

@MWeid:
Okay, I admit that it probably won't work with the traffic reports, but I usually don't have those on anyway. I think it's a matter of personal preference.

It's a Via Epia M10000 with a 40 GB HDD. That's all that's connected to it.
Okay, one more Wi-Fi dongle, but that's not worth mentioning. It's packed in the glove compartment, and the graphics are displayed on a touchscreen.

You're right... that's exactly what I meant.

AUX doesn't have that feature; it's essentially "digitally" integrated with the CD changer. Installing something else... is theoretically a good idea, but in the 6K GP01, it's only feasible with extreme effort. The radio is inextricably linked to the climate control and the onboard computer, forming a double-DIN unit, in front of which the large shared display is mounted. Some people in the Ibiza forum have managed to separate it, but the effort and risk are enormous. The image below shows the problem... I'd rather just continue with the changer in the trunk icon_wink.gif.

"Thank you, someone has actually done that before! Well, let's see... when I have more time again, that's definitely an option to consider."

Best regards,

Jan.
