There will be no further versions of 311.2, as this software version is now obsolete.
Currently, the significantly more advanced release is 908.1.

That means, if you had purchased a VAG-COM license here in this shop, you would not be able to use it to activate a German version of VAG-COM.
The 311.2 is quite old and, for that reason, we will no longer provide support for it. It wouldn't make sense to do so, considering the significantly improved current versions.
What you heard is complete nonsense. Of course, the newer features still support older vehicles, and even improve them.
The correct versions are those starting from 404.0, which only work with current diagnostic hardware that meets certain minimum requirements. The most important of these are 'reliable communication' and 'support for higher bit rates'.
From my end, there is also no interest in supporting problems that are caused by faulty diagnostic hardware from third-party vendors.

As I mentioned, we will be releasing a German version soon, and there are two more exciting projects planned for 2005...
Regarding the latter, I would like to comment on them only when they are ready for delivery .
