Hello.
I'm currently trying to determine my approximate engine power. Unfortunately, I don't have access to Excel right now, and I don't have time for detailed measurements. Maybe someone here has similar values, and I can get a rough estimate of the power.

I own a Golf IV TDI Highline, 3-door, 2WD, ALH engine with a DQY gearbox, air conditioning, easy entry, and VW 17-inch rims with 225 tires. I have replaced the fuel injectors with those from an 81kW/110PS ASV engine. Additionally, I have a switchable chip (not a module).

I was able to improve my time in 3rd gear from 7.8 seconds to 5.5 seconds (using ALH+ASV nozzles) by adding a chip.

So, does anyone have a similar setup and know what kind of performance to expect at different times? Thank you very much!

I simply calculated the percentage reduction in the DZR and applied that percentage to the horsepower.

KPower later confirmed this invoice to me.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I took more precise measurements again yesterday.
Okay, here's the translation:

"I'm now getting 7.6 seconds with ALH injectors and ASV nozzles, which is about 110 horsepower. With ALH injectors, ASVD nozzles, and a chip, it's 5.6 seconds. Expressed as a percentage of the 110 horsepower baseline, that's an increase to approximately 150 horsepower. That's quite significant."

icon_question.gif

What? 7.6 seconds with ASV nozzles?
That seems slow to me.

I'm getting 7.6 kilometers per liter with 10 cents per kilometer, and that's with a combined driving style and two people in the car.

The series readings were around 9.1 or so, which is enough to calculate a power output of 106 horsepower.

"5.6 bar is already amazing, but I can't get it to work on the road because the turbo starts to surge and "box" (likely referring to a knocking or surging sound) when the boost kicks in."

Hello Martin.
Based on my experience, a 10Ct injector also provides more (especially torque) than the larger injectors without optimizing the injection timing.

I have 17" VW alloy wheels with 225 tires on my Golf IV. In dry conditions, the wheels don't spin, even with full throttle in 2nd gear. However, as soon as it's wet, I can easily lose traction, even in 3rd gear icon_wink.gif.

ok,

It's probably due to the sagging (==soft) springs (the shocks are only 2 years old), especially since the rear overhang is quite significant.

I'm still thinking about getting 205 tires because mine are getting old.

Hi Martin, thankfully, my suspension is a bit stiffer than the standard icon_smile.gif.
I've already had my chip tuned to 0.216 injectors. I just haven't installed them yet because it wasn't enough for brand new injectors. Besides, in 2 weeks, we're going on a 10,000 km trip to Scandinavia in our T3 icon_smile.gif.
Okay, I'll be switching to 0.216 tires eventually. If you're interested in my 0.205 tires (they have about 6,000 km on them and are original VW), feel free to reach out icon_smile.gif.

'I have a 0-60 mph time of 4.8 seconds in my ALH Leon with 216 injectors and a chip, resulting in 165 hp / 380 Nm of torque. The Leon is significantly heavier than a 3-door Golf IV (by at least 100 kg).'

Hello SeatLeon.
Sounds good icon_smile.gif.
I would estimate my performance to be around 140 horsepower.
If I use 0.216 injectors instead of the 0.205 injectors, I think I'll end up with around 150 horsepower.

How long have you been using this setup? Is your chip adjustable? What's the regulated pressure? What kind of clutch are you using? Have you experienced any problems?

That's very good. I had the same experience with my old 1Z and 10ct (two-door model).

Hm, my current 1Z is actually even slower icon_sad.gif.
The previous result was around 8.3 seconds.

'I've been driving this combination for 11,000 km, during which the original clutch from Sachs Race had to be replaced (due to the 380 Nm of torque...). The chip is not adjustable and is set to 1.25 bar. So far, everything has been running smoothly.'
