My question is whether it is possible to change the fuel injection quantity limit using VAG-COM.
After installing a chip, it always displays the same 4 errors, but everything seems to be working fine.

I would appreciate a response.

No, the actual amount of fuel injected can only be influenced to a small extent, within a range of +/- 2%.

It would be interesting to know what kind of errors they are.

Best regards, Rainer.

Let me guess, you installed a larger PDE. icon_cool.gif And since then, this error has been occurring. } Is it accompanied by occasional stuttering? }

The exact error message seems to be "Valve 1 injection limit exceeded." After a while, the same error occurred for Valve 2, Valve 3, and so on.
I haven't installed anything yet, just a tuning module that's been connected.
"Significant increase in soot levels, resulting in a power gain of 15-18 kW according to your KPower power measurement (assuming this is accurate). I have a 96 kW diesel engine, but the performance program already shows 110 kW. The previous owner claimed he didn't modify the power output. I wanted to address the high soot levels by installing an ARL intercooler and simply raising the error threshold, but if that's not possible, I'll need to find another solution. Because if the error persists for a longer time and all the valves are activated, which happens under full load on the racetrack, the engine starts to stutter as if the engine mount is missing."

The exact error message, I believe, is 'Limit or injection threshold for valve 1 exceeded.' After a while, it also shows 'Valve 2,' 'Valve 3,' etc.!
I haven't installed anything yet, just a tuning module that's been connected.
Efekt strong Russian behavior, power increase of 15-18 kW according to your KPower power measurement (I assume this is correct). I have a 96 kW diesel, but the performance program already shows 110 kW. The previous owner said that he did not change the performance. I wanted to change the behavior with the ARL intercooler and simply raise the limit, but if that's not possible, another solution is needed, because if the error persists for a longer time and all valves are displayed, which happens at full load on the racetrack, the engine starts to stutter as if the engine mount is missing.

I would replace the soot with a proper chip. The P-boxes are useful for many things, but for modern engines, I use something else icon_wink.gif. Soot is always a sign of a lack of air.

And you drive the car on the racetrack? icon_eek.gif

Sure, why not?
Some people let the dog out on the street icon_rolleyes.gif.
The others choose the safe path, without endangering anyone else icon_lol.gif.

It's not like I installed a cheap "Exxx" box for 20 euros; I think that's something for specialized waste disposal. (The modern motor is only from 2002.)

Unfortunately, the error keeps recurring, and there's nothing I can do about it. icon_cry.gif

Therefore, I want to do something about the lack of oxygen, perhaps by installing a larger turbocharger or an intercooler; maybe that will put an end to the problem icon_sad.gif.

I didn't choose a permanent chip because it's harder to remove, whereas with a box, you can simply take it out and you're done.

Well, to switch the engine control unit software back to the "original" version, you don't even have to open the hood... that's all there is to it.

Furthermore, you might want to try resetting your device and see if that clears the error and prevents it from recurring.

Best regards, Rainer.

Switchable? icon_wink.gif And every reputable tuner will also revert to its original state. icon_wink.gif

We had a similar issue with jerking/error codes in an Audi, with a large PDE, LLK, etc. It turned out to be due to incorrect tuning. After putting the car on a dynamometer, it runs perfectly. icon_wink.gif You might want to investigate in that direction, so try removing the PBox and then test the car. icon_wink.gif If the problem disappears, then consider that. icon_wink.gif If not, the problem lies in the details, such as electrical connections, leaky O-rings, or a defective PDE itself. Also, check the idle speed control. } You might see 'outliers' there.

It's definitely the box that's causing the problem; that's true.
Once she's gone, the problems will disappear, and it won't be that bad.
Unfortunately, the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) light is illuminated due to the error, and the ESP system is malfunctioning.

"As a prompt during the reading process, it only displays: 'PLEASE READ ENGINE CONTROL UNIT'."

That's why this whole thing is kind of a mess.

A switchable chip: what's good about it, but unfortunately, you have to consider the costs for all of them.

Although the update didn't really deliver the performance boost it promised.

"But why does the dyno test show 110 kW? (STOCK configuration, without the tuning box). I've tested other cars under the same conditions, on the same track, and it always gave accurate results."

Make sure that nothing has been changed beforehand.

Well, regardless of the cost, the car would run with that. However, for the sake of durability/health, I would strongly advise considering it.

It's important that nothing has been changed beforehand, at the end.

That is within the realm of possibility. icon_wink.gif You should check it or have it checked.
