Hello,
I need a gauge that displays the fuel temperature, preferably before the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) input, or within the ESP unit itself.
Adding another instrument wouldn't be a problem, but the ESP should already have a sensor for it. Also, the additional instrument should be readable in the dark and shouldn't detract from the appearance of the dashboard.
I see 3 ways to display this value inside the application.
- Option 1: Climate codes - Code 51 (engine temperature) > where is this value obtained? Or is there a more suitable value (disadvantage: some operating steps are required to display it)?
- Option 2: Display via RDS (there are devices that can inject signals in this way > I don't have any experience with them yet).
- Option 3: Display in the FIS (preferably in the middle section instead of the temperature, or in the lower section, not in the upper section as with fis-box.de; also, this system only displays data from its own sensors, which are also limited in selection - with a maximum of 8 sensors).
Has anyone had experience with a system like this and can offer recommendations (pros and cons)? allroad 2.5tdi V6 132kw 11/00
