TDI 90 PS: Power Loss Troubleshooting

Hi,
I urgently need your expert advice.
I had the head gasket replaced on my Golf III TDI 90 hp, and while they were at it, they also replaced the turbocharger (original turbocharger, with approximately 50,000 km on it).

"When I'm driving on the highway and accelerate, the engine suddenly loses power at 140 km/h and around 2900 rpm. It then doesn't pull at all. The same thing happens at 160 km/h and 180 km/h. The same issue also occurs when I'm driving uphill on a country road, but then it happens at around 120 km/h."

I don't think it's the charger. I drove with the old charger for two weeks after replacing the head gasket, and I had the same problem.

There was also an entry in the error memory, but I don't remember the exact details. I think it might have been something related to the diesel pressure - could that be it?
I can have it checked again on Monday if that's important for the diagnosis, but the symptoms might already provide some clues.
