Document error 00575 with full throttle, AKN and AFB engine (Solution)

V6 TDI engine, AKN/AFB type.
When accelerating fully, the engine power is significantly reduced.
Error code 00575 in the engine control unit (ECU) memory.

Cause:
When demanding maximum acceleration, the boost pressure can temporarily exceed the target value. Before the boost pressure control valve can regulate the pressure, the engine control unit (ECU) detects the excessive boost pressure due to the engine protection function and reduces the fuel injection amount. At the same time, the error code 00575 (charge pressure regulation limit exceeded) is stored.
After turning the ignition on/off, the protective function is deactivated, but the error message remains.

Procedure:
In case of a complaint, use a motor control unit with a modified turbocharger pressure sensor.
