My Problem:
I have a T4 bus with a 2.5 TDI engine. I only occasionally drive the vehicle. Just another retired couple.
Sit back again and notice: significant performance loss...can't even take a slice of liverwurst bread from the table anymore.
Okay, let's quickly read the error codes.
Result: 1 Error: 01268--Fuel Control Valve
I searched the forum for it, but I didn't really understand anything. Who can help me out with that?

Yesterday, the friendly VW dealer staff were very helpful. They said it must be the LMM. They gave me one to try. After installing it, the performance is back to normal! Must now also clear the fault codes and perform a thorough test drive.

Awesome error code reader. The 01268 code has only appeared in no instances of a faulty LMM.
If there isn't tampering with the wiring harness, or an ESP or box has been installed, I can completely rule out the faulty mass air flow sensor as the cause of the error.
Maybe try a VAG-COM next time.

So, now a year has passed, or perhaps even more.
So far, everything is fine. Now the warning light is blinking again, and when I read the error code, it comes up as 01268, as usual.
Yep, I've installed a small box in the car. But it's still unclear why everything was fine for a year. I now have a T4 with 88 horsepower, which is the one with the "i" (the eco-blue one), and it's having the same problem. And the box has just 30,000 KM on it, and nothing has been tampered with.

Confess and order a flux system, read with it a little more accurately than with the current one, and then fix the error!

but it doesn't help. Okay, I'll take the "modified T4" idea and put it on my hat.
But the other one, nothing changed, the brand new T4 is causing me a lot of trouble. Pre-heating is OK, glow tubes measured, all low resistance, relay switches through, voltage on the tubes is present.
Weird, after starting the engine, the indicator light goes out and stays out..........
...it starts blinking only when the car has traveled one meter...Loose connection.
And as I said, no error messages.

Is that also on the newer 2.5 with black smoke performance loss, or only blinking of the VGK lamp without an error entry in Würth?
Get a diagnostic scan performed at VW.
Then I would install a crocodile connector with a cable from a conveniently accessible ground point inside the vehicle, and see if the voltage turns on and off with the light bulb.
The relay and the temperature sensor, as well as the cable to it, seem suspicious.
Could the friendly warehouse worker, perhaps, tolerate a minor discrepancy overnight, which would then be rectified in the morning?
Connecting a variable resistor instead of the temperature sensor can also allow the relay to be switched on to check if the error persists!
Also without reading the memory

It's just the flashing, no black smoke or loss of power. I'm going to try measuring the GK. But then the relay inside should be clicking in time with the control lamp, right? But I can't hear that. I'll check it out though. And the debugger says: nothing

VW error codes read out? Or with Würth?
When the bus's light bulb flickers, I think it means there's a problem.
If the VGL relay does nothing and the control light is blinking, there is an error.
With the clamp meter. Measure the glow wire!

... could simply be a faulty brake light!
Alternatively, the volume threshold set by the meter may also be reached.
this is caused by a powerbox!
"However, not all errors are signaled in this way."
only bug reports with a certain priority or multiple minor bugs.
Best regards, Leo

Definitely no powerbox!
But brake lights, uh, think.
I'm also an expert in the field of electricity. But you must explain the relationship between the flashing brake light and the turn signal
