Hello! I've read this forum quite a few times and find it very helpful!

I just tried using the VAG-COM from our workshop to adjust the AGR (Abgasrückführung) settings as described in the technical report.

So, I went into the engine electronics, but I made a small mistake! icon_cry.gif I entered the value 3 during the coding process! Here's the translation:

"Now, under the data, it says:"

01 - Motor electronics.
038906019CK
1.9 R4 EDC 0000 SG 1243
Encoding 3 (This ad is meant to be displayed!!!!)
Company registration number 47791.

Unfortunately, I don't know what I did wrong now!!!???? Is this something serious, or can I continue driving normally?!?!?
I really don't know much about the VAG group at all!
If someone could help me, I would be very, very grateful!

PS: And I still haven't found the measurement block for the EGR! icon_rolleyes.gif

Best regards,
Timo

Hi,

You probably have the engine configured for all-wheel drive, automatic transmission, without ABS, or some other incompatible "settings," depending on which versions your car was offered in. This usually manifests as some strange behavior, error messages, or similar issues.

Damage should not occur, in my opinion. I will try to determine which encoding was active previously and restore it.

The AGR channel is number 3, located under "MWB" and "Adjustments / Adaptation."

Thank you for your help!!!

But how do I get rid of the default encoding? Do I need a different ASZ (acceleration sensitivity zone) value there, or are there standard values for this somewhere?

Okay, so it's not giving me any problems when idling or otherwise. Let's see how the week goes!

Then I will now sit down again and tackle the AGR! icon_smile.gif

Best regards,
Timo

Okay, I found it and I've already increased the value! So far, it works well icon_biggrin.gif.

While coding, a newly qualified automotive technician helped me, and we have now reset everything to the default settings! icon_cool.gif

Thank you again for the quick help! This forum is really amazing!

Best regards,
Timo
