In that location, there's a type of metal bellows that allows the pipe to be installed.
Meanwhile, the reason why the bellows had torn has been found: an M6 Allen screw was lying on the floor. It was one of the screws used to secure the AGR pipe flanges.
Because the bellows were only attached on one side, they started to expand under pressure, and eventually, they simply broke.
