I've read this expression several times and I'm wondering if it's the explanation for the large question mark above my head.

Now, to the point. I recently bought a transporter. (I know - this is more about other cars in the VAG range - but asking is free)

It has a 111kw engine. (That must be rare!) icon_smile.gif

Well, it's performing quite well. After having it checked out by my trusted Bosch service (where I learned a lot), I now understand why:

Over 130 kW and 340 Nm!!! Series: 111 kW, 295 Nm

This series variation seems quite significant, doesn't it?

I can't answer questions about the dyno quickly. However, it's a relatively new engine, with a cooling fan and PC-based analysis.

I use it daily, as I'm a diesel specialist in the area.

We measured twice. The results were almost identical: 132/134 kW (the gearbox was probably warmer on the second attempt).

Since there's a motor with this power output in the T5, I can imagine that some hidden components are already running in 'field tests.' nsporter seems to be a good candidate, especially since he's a full-stack developer?

So, there's nothing visually apparent. (ep - still nothing PD. grins)

Can anyone support or refute this theory?

By the way, the car isn't making any noise. (at least not anymore, compared to others)

Can such a motor survive a minor modification using a chip/10C tuning?

Question of questions...

The rest is probably irrelevant...

Surely, this is a significant difference, right?

take a look here:

I asked that question before too.

I completely forgot:
The T5 gets a completely new five-cylinder engine that has nothing to do with the old one (gears instead of timing belt, PD instead of VP, 4 valves instead of 2 valves ...)

Well, it should actually just make me happy. But humans are naturally curious. icon_smile.gif
