I'm new here and really impressed by the quality of the posts.
So far, I mainly work on motorcycles without electronics, and I only work on cars out of necessity to get them running properly.
I have previously left the work of adjusting and diagnosing the car, including using diagnostic tools, to the dealer, but I am no longer convinced by this. So, I have to do it myself.
Before I start asking pointless and redundant questions, I am currently reading a lot on this page and have reached the point where I have the following basic question:
It seems that VAG-Com is the standard, but I don't have one, only a VAG 1552 with cable VAG 1551/3A without a description.
Can VAG 1551 and/or 1552 be used with a Volvo V70II engine, model year 2001, with a 2.5 5-cylinder engine? Series of Audi similar to Audi A6 C4 AEL or other applications also communicate in T4?
And how do I know that the motor and VAG 1552 are communicating?
I currently have no idea and would connect VAG 1552 and see if the system responds and I can understand what is happening.
Are there any specific, important things to keep in mind?
