Hello,
I have an adapter with a built-in SI9241 (K-line only) module.
This also exists for K+L, and is then called SI9243EY.
My adapter doesn't work with VAG-COM but with the old one.
VW-TOOL (now probably called VDS or something like that).
I think it's due to the strange adapter query that's built into the program.
Just a thought, you know? The plug works, so it doesn't matter.
approximately 3 years, and as far as I can remember, with all STG.
How much does a high-speed train ticket cost? I don't know.
ähh, where can I find the datasheet?

Hello,
When measuring the delay time, values of 9.6us (increasing and decreasing) appear. With my acceleration capacitors, I achieve a value of approximately 5us (80% of the value) using Ulf's adapter. That would then fall into the 'green' category.
The point is that the SW VAG-COM is regularly updated and freely available. I hardly think anyone would give up on that. |

Addendum:
Adapter works with Vag-com! Adapter status 0 found and ready
However, this is probably not the case for vehicles with L-line.
Consists of a MAX232, Si9241, 1 Transistor, and a pair of resistors.
and ELkos.

Hi,
Thank you very much for the information.
If you could provide a picture of your (obviously purchased) adapter, and/or even demonstrate the functionality of the device, that would be great.
The Si9243EY is, in fact, not better suited for diagnostic interfaces than the Si9241, as the L-Line connector is only an input (as with the Motorola MC33199). For an adapter, it might be necessary to use two drivers.
Best regards, Rudi |
