Preheating System Buzz: Troubleshooting & Fixes

Hello,

I have a Nissan Micra (diesel) with the following problem:

- If I want to preheat the engine, the preheating control makes a humming sound.
- Turning the key does not start the engine (the control unit just continues to beep).

That certainly sounds like a problem with the glow plug control system, but at the same time, the following secondary problem is occurring.

- The central locking system no longer works with the remote control, even though you can clearly hear clicking sounds coming from the control unit. However, it works perfectly fine when using the key (which activates a different control unit).

I have already checked the battery (it is fully charged) and the fuses (they are fine).

A few days ago, I had to jump-start the vehicle using jumper cables. Could that be the cause?
