Hello,
My friend's 3C Passat 2.0 TDI with 103 kW (140 hp) occasionally jerks during acceleration in 1st and 2nd gear at 2000-2200 RPM. The jerking is sporadic and cannot be reproduced, and it occurs regardless of whether the engine is warm or cold.
The workshop can't find any faults.
I'll be getting the new VCDS soon.
How should I approach troubleshooting?
Or is the PD cable, or PD components, a promising candidate?

The wiring harness to the PDEs is the leading suspect.
A log drive using VCDS and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) 18 and 23 should help identify the cause of the issue.
to be sufficient.
Otherwise, I will gradually post troubleshooting guides in this forum.
First, it would be interesting to get a 3D scan of the car.
