As a starting point for my research on AAT (presumably referring to Air-to-Air Turbochargers), I'd like to know if the fuel quantity is adjusted based on engine speed and boost pressure, or if the fuel is supplied in proportion to the air mass/boost pressure (or something else). While I can understand a lot even with limited German, it's very difficult to find the correct terminology. Do you have any recommendations for where I should start reading?

Best regards,
Erik.

hi

Please provide more information. What kind of car are we talking about?

Are you writing something about Volvo TDI engines, specifically the AEL model?

It's difficult with Volvo vehicles because there are very few programs available for reading the engine control unit (ECU).

analog pressure measurement with a T-fitting.

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

Hello!
It is about https://community.dieselschrauber.org/en/viewtopic.php?t=20663.

I'm installing a 1995 Audi AAT engine into a different vehicle that originally had a gasoline engine. I want to eventually achieve 140 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, but first, I want to get more torque at lower RPMs, especially below 2000 RPM. The vehicle is a small truck. I need better performance at both low and high RPMs. People often ask, "Why not just use a larger engine?" But I also need a small and lightweight engine that won't negatively impact the vehicle's weight and space.

I want to learn how the engine control unit (ECU) works, so I can understand how a performance upgrade affects it.
