Hello.

My AJM engine, manufactured in 2003, frequently goes into limp mode under full load at approximately 3000 RPM.
I checked all the hoses for cracks or other damage, and I activated the VTG (Variable Turbine Geometry) using VAG-COM.
Error code: 17965
Boost pressure regulation: Limit exceeded.
In MWB 011, I noticed that the LD (likely referring to a specific measurement or parameter) is different when the system is in a warm state compared to when it is in a cold state.
When the engine is cold, I have 0.979 bar, and when the VTG (Variable Turbine Geometry) is activated, it's 1.09 bar when the engine is warm, but then it goes up to 1.112. Is that normal?
I took a video of the VTG hub.

Is the path that the rod makes, I/O?

Best regards,
Mathias

New boost control valve installed.
Problem still persists!
What else could it be due to?
Does VTG completely disengage at high engine speeds, or does it simply stop being active at that point?

Perhaps the issue is that your VTG (Variable Transmission Geometry) adjustment isn't completely free.
Use the search function and you'll find what you're looking for!

Best regards.
