What is the difference between the turbochargers with the following part numbers?
038253019A (110PS TDI, up to 9/99)
038253019C (110 hp TDI from 9/99)
038253019F (130 hp TDI), etc.

The part numbers are the same except for the last letter?!

The two 110 hp turbochargers are supplied by Garrett and are a VNT (Variable Nozzle Turbine) type. The supplier for the 130 hp version is the company 3K-Warner, and it is a K04-VTG turbocharger.

I was just asking because I recently bought a charger on eBay at a good price. But it's the same xxxA model that I have.
Interestingly, the VTG

is stuck on the loader.
I'm going to take it apart and clean it. I don't have any use for it anymore because my Golf is being sold. I got an incredibly good offer from BMW Bank for a new 320d

I'm sorry for being unfaithful to the VW TDIs... but for that price, I wouldn't have been able to get an equivalent VW!

I'm not entirely sure whether Garrett also supplies turbochargers for the 130PS version. I only know that our Seat Ibiza (130PS TDI) has a turbocharger from 3K. Garrett is the sole supplier for the 110PS version. Conversely, it's the other way around for the gasoline engines - the entire 1.8T range comes exclusively from 3K.

In the Russian parts catalog, there is only one Garrett turbocharger listed for the 130hp TDI engine. I have never seen a KKK VTG turbocharger for this engine.
