1.9 TDI: Intermittent Idle Issues & Fixes

Hello,

I have a Passat B4 1.9 TDI, manufactured in 1996, that occasionally has an uneven idle speed / it occasionally jerks while idling.

The fuel injection pump was recently replaced.

I checked it, but unfortunately, no error codes were stored. In the MWB 10, the air mass seems much too high to me; even at full load, it only increases by about 80 mg/H. I unfortunately didn't record any data logs at full load or perform a test drive. Could the mass airflow sensor (MAF) be the cause?

Okay, thank you, that sounds good.

And what about the value of the air mass being drawn in? Shouldn't it be approximately 250 mg/H at idle?
and be approximately 850 mg/H at full load?

At idle, with a warm engine, the value is 250-480mg per injection. At full throttle, a value of 850mg per injection is normal.
