Hello forum,
I made a mess while disassembling the dust stoppers from an AEL.
The conical washer, which the retaining bolt presses against the retaining bracket, has fallen into the engine compartment, into a really difficult-to-reach spot.
Does anyone know if:
*) This washer can be purchased individually.
*) I could just use a regular (flat) washer. Probably not, though, right? Or does anyone know otherwise?

I used two standard flat washers.
It has fulfilled its purpose until today . Kaum macht man es richtig, funktioniert es!

Hi Klahaui,
Brave, brave. Isn't the conical washer important to ensure correct alignment of the nozzle holder? After all, the screw sits centered in the retaining bracket due to the conical shape.
But your good experience gives me hope .
Does anyone know the part number for something like that?

...or as a "quick fix," use two regular washers with a screw and nut inserted into the drill, and then bend/file them into a conical shape.
Best regards, Rainer.

@Guste100:
Thank you for the spare part number. It will probably be very helpful to me.
I assume that's a VAG replacement part number? Or from Bosch? Well, it will probably be easy to clarify tomorrow with a phone call .
@Rainer:
It's also a good idea, but I'm not in a huge hurry. The car (a Volvo 850 TDI with already 300,000 km on the odometer) is just sitting there for now while the injectors are being replaced. That will take a few more days.
