Clattering noises after cold start
As the engine heats up, the noise becomes weaker.

Cause:
In certain cases, damage to the coating on the barrel can lead to cold spots.

Solution:
If distinct knocking sounds are detected from the engine after cold start, the following procedure should be followed:

Check oil level and oil pressure according to manufacturer's specifications.
If the oil level and oil pressure are within the normal range, further action must be coordinated with VAG product support.
