Good day.

I drive a Mazda3 1.6 CDI. Mileage: 136,000 km.

According to Mazda, my DPF needs to be replaced every 120,000 km. This is an engine with a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and additive system from Peugeot.
While looking for alternatives, I came across the topic of "DPF cleaning/flushing" and have already done some reading about it in this forum.

The last piece of information I need is whether there's a way to read or reset the amount of ash in the software of Mazda vehicles (or the 1.6 diesel engines from Peugeot/Ford).
Mazda was unable or unwilling to provide me with any information on the matter.
Even my trusted Mazda mechanic couldn't give me a definitive answer (their words were: "We couldn't find anything like that anywhere...").
Yesterday, I got an error message in the car's memory for the first time (mine was P244F).
Ash accumulation. I now interpret the error as indicating that it is slowly becoming time to get rid of the annoying ash icon_smile.gif.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any further information on this topic in the forum. Most people drive VAG diesel cars here. icon_cool.gif

Thank you in advance.

Best regards, Vash_X

"Are you absolutely sure? You'll probably need a diagnostic system to do that." Unfortunately, I'm not aware of anything like VCDS for your vehicle.

Best regards, Rainer.

Thank you, Rainer, for your quick response.

It sounds like I'm going to have to visit a few workshops before I find someone who can install that for me. "I find it surprising that the workshop is telling me that something like that doesn't exist."
At the time, I was only told, based on the pressure measurements before and after the DPF, that it was still in relatively good condition.
