VW Touareg 3.0 TDI Engine Failure Cause?

Overnight, the 6th cylinder became full of coolant and then seized when starting. I removed the glow plug and pushed the water out by turning the engine. After that, it started again.
Is this problem a known issue, and if so, what is the cause of this damage?

Yes, this has happened before, just like in your Touareg. When the engine block was removed, a crack was discovered, and the customer received a new engine.

EDIT: Sorry, I was mistaken. It was actually a 2.8-liter gasoline engine, and the block had a crack, although it was only minor, but there was water loss.

Can you remember exactly where the crack was?
