Dear puzzle enthusiasts,

My Passat Variant TDI 1Z with 90 horsepower starts to vibrate when I'm driving uphill slightly, in the range of approximately 1500-1800 RPM.
It goes so far that the steering wheel is also affected and vibrates slightly.

A repair of the charging hose (rubber coupling) preceded this.
When the engine was misfiring and had less power, there was no shaking. Now that it's running at full power again, this problem has started to occur.

I once disconnected the LLM to trigger a failsafe mode with modified values, and even in that situation, the shaking occurred.
The fuel injector, relay 109, and AGR valve (N75) were recently replaced.

Does anyone recognize this behavior?

I'm not sure if the noise is coming from the engine or something else, like the drive shafts.
However, since it seems to always occur within the same RPM range, the latter is probably less likely to be the cause.
Is there a way to narrow it down further?

Does he have free range at the LiMa? If so, check it out, because mine showed similar signs!

Shaking, also known as rattling, can occur. We are looking for a "quantity setting device" here! Chips in the quantity setting device can cause this.

Hello,

and thank you for the answers.

I know what 'shaking' is, but this is definitely more than that, because even the steering wheel is moving back and forth at a rate of about 2-3 Hz.

Is there a free-running option on the Lima?
He definitely didn't, it's a standard 120A fuse. I didn't even know that kind could have a delayed blow function.

The likelihood of the car having an MSW (Mileage Stop Watch) is probably lower because it appears to have been driven very carefully without any modifications, suggesting it hasn't been pushed to its limits.

The whole thing also feels like some kind of resonance.
If it jerks and you release the accelerator and then reapply it (with a lower speed), the jerking usually stops.

In the error memory, there is no error message.

That doesn't mean anything.

What clearly speaks in favor of the MSW.

Try disconnecting the speed sensor on the transmission. If the jerking stops, then the problem is with the MSW (likely referring to a speed monitoring system).

Hello Bertl,

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try it out when the car is back.

What does the missing speed signal cause? Does it trigger the emergency mode?

I already tried that with the LMM, reinstalled it, and it's still lagging.

Thank you in advance.
