BMR vs. BMN Engine: Differences and Comparison

Hi,

My acquaintance's car, engine code BMR, unfortunately broke down today.
According to my diagnosis, which was made over the phone, there is a problem with the connecting rod bearing.
Reconditioning the engine, including processes like grinding, nitriding, and replacing bearings/connecting rods, is not economically viable because the base engine has already accumulated nearly 300,000 kilometers.
The cylinder head and turbocharger were replaced by VW last year under the extended warranty program.

Which engine block is most compatible with the BMR and can be used with a BMR cylinder head?
- AVZ ??
- CB** ???
- BUZ BKP BMP BMA BNM should work?

Or does anyone else have a BMR engine they'd like to get rid of, and feel good about doing so?
