I'm driving a chip-tuned A4 Avant AFN with 140 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque.
'I got 192,000 km out of my first clutch, and then I had a SACHS clutch kit, including the release bearing, pressure plate, and clutch disc, installed by an independent large workshop.'
After approximately 14,000 km, of which about 12,500 km were driven in 5th gear on long highway stretches, the clutch is slipping again in the range of 1700-2500 RPM.
The effect only occurs when I accelerate out of the low RPM range (1500 RPM) with approximately half to full throttle.
Is that possible? Could there be a material defect here?
I know that a clutch is a wear item, but 14,000 km of highway driving seems a bit low, doesn't it?
The workshop foreman will contact Sachs, and I'm hoping for some goodwill/understanding from them.
What do you mean?
Best regards and thank you.
Manuel.
