Hi,
Although the six-cylinder engine should run very smoothly, I have the impression that the idle speed is a little too high (770 RPM).
Can this engine control unit be...?
Address 01: Engine Control Unit (CAN)
Label file: DRV\059-907-401-CAN.clb
Part number SW: 4F7 910 401 K, HW: 4F0 907 401 E.
Component: 2.7 TDI EDC17G000SG, part number 0090.
Revision: 16H14--- Serial number:
Encoding: 010D002C18070128
Operating number: WSC 33103 136 175301.
VCID: 2B5294108A904379EBD-807E
Should I still adjust the idle speed?
Best regards from Berlin.

Would you like to try it?
Many TDI engine control units should allow modification of the idle speed through adjustment. I haven't tested this on newer engines, simply because there was no need to do so.
Best regards, Rainer.

Hi,
I tried..., but channel 2 in the MSG is displayed as 'not available', which is why I'm asking. I also looked in the label file, but it's a .clb file, not a .lbl file.
Best regards,

Have you already tried logging in with "12233" or whatever is displayed in the tooltip?

Hmm, of course not... I'll do it tomorrow; I was focused on the technical article and assumed no login would be required.

Hi,
Okay, so I tried logging in again today; Channel 2 is not available. I then navigated through the channels a bit further, and on Channel 6, a speed display appeared in the upper left corner. The value range for this channel is not documented; however, by reducing the value from the original 20 to 5, I was able to reduce the idle speed to the point where the vibration of the gear lever, which has sometimes been annoying me, has almost completely disappeared.
Best regards from Berlin.
