Hello.

Does anyone know how the driving mode selection (Normal, Eco, Sport) works, or can provide me with a detailed source of information about it?
I've read that the steering, climate control, and lights can be changed. However, I'm only interested in modifications to the engine electronics.
I tried to create three meaningful full-throttle logs (extended data, torque limits in Nm) with the aforementioned B8 engine producing 110 kW, but I didn't see any significant differences. However, I selected too many data points, which resulted in a low resolution.

The torque limit remains unchanged. I consistently see a maximum of 393 Nm, with 431 Nm under smoke conditions and 410 Nm when pressing the accelerator pedal fully.
Which measurement values should I select to ensure sufficient resolution when logging data?

Should only the accelerator pedal response curve change? Does anyone have any comparative logs of the three modes?

Change accelerator pedal curve?

I suspect this is the case, and here's why: Otherwise, for each operating mode, it would be necessary to demonstrate compliance with emission standards, durability requirements, etc.

Best regards, Rainer.

...at VW, they're not exactly picky... there's even a hidden mode called "Test Bench." The current effects of this mode only lead to the conclusion that Rainer is right icon_wink.gif.
