My name is Isa, I am 31 years old, a mechanical engineer, and I live in southern France. Originally, I am from Bavaria.
I've always tinkered with my cars, but until now, I've only owned gasoline-powered vehicles.
Last year, my father bequeathed his Passat B5 to me, with a respectable mileage of 400,000 km. I'm very attached to the car, but I'm currently tearing my hair out trying to deal with it, which is why I registered on this forum – I hope to find some answers here. The timing belt needed to be replaced, the turbo was broken, and the head gasket blew. But I'll probably go into more detail about that in another post.
In addition to the Passat, I also have a Mitsubishi Evo V and my prized possession, a Peugeot 403 pickup from 1966.
My hobbies include sports, stand-up paddleboarding, and brewing beer. You can't even drink the stuff they sell here.
I'm looking forward to many interesting discussions, even though I'm not the most active participant in the forum.
