Hello everyone,
I hope someone can help me.
On my A6 4B, manufactured in 2003, the front left PDC (Parking Distance Control) sensor is not functioning.
I installed a new one, but it only worked for a few days before it stopped again.
I also installed a new one, but it didn't work at all.
I then tried to measure the connector, but without success. No 12V was detected on any pin.
Also, there is no 12V power supply at the large connector for all sensors on the front bumper.
The PDC was, of course, active during the inspection, as were the other three sensors.
There must be power, right?
How can I verify this? I don't believe that both of the new sensors are defective.
Greetings A6 4B 2.5tdi BDH Avant quattro Schalter |

Broken cable, corrosion in a connector..., or there is another one that is broken, which causes your PDC to be turned off. Sommer: A4 B5 Avant 2,5 TDI Quattro Facelift (AKN silber)

All other sensors are functioning correctly.
How can I test the cables to potentially identify a cable break?
As I said, there is no 12V present anywhere A6 4B 2.5tdi BDH Avant quattro Schalter |

I don't have the exact description anymore, but he's reporting an error with the sensor on the front left side. A6 4B 2.5tdi BDH Avant quattro Schalter |

It is interesting to know which message appears with the new sensor. Viele Grüße

I would first swap the sensors on the right and left.
If the error persists, it means you purchased the sensors at too low a price / the sensors were defective.
If the problem persists, you have a problem with the wiring or control unit.
In this case, you could, for testing purposes, swap the original cables left and right directly at the STG. This allows you to see if the STG or wiring is the problem. (The display is, of course, reversed during the test).
Greetings
