Hello everyone,
I have a Caddy with a 1.6-liter CR TDI engine. It has 420,900 kilometers on it.
Today, out of pure curiosity, I checked the calibration values of the injectors, and I noticed that according to VCDS, they are 7 digits long, but the injectors themselves only have 6 digits. According to VCDS, a zero is stored at the end. Is this correct, or should the zero be at the beginning?
According to vcds, the following value is stored for the injector (photo attached):
909DFG0
The injectors were replaced at 380,000 km.
Attached is a photo of an injector.
The engine runs relatively well, but it's a bit noisy.
best regards
axp

Hello,
"That's a good question, but if the engine is running well and there are no noticeable issues, I would advise against messing with the injector coding."
If I were to add a zero, I would place it at the beginning of the coding sequence, but I do so with no guarantee, as all my engines are 2.0 TDIs, and I have limited experience with the 1.6 TDI injection systems.
Best regards, Rainer.

Quote: | Yeah it's a 6 digit code, I'm well aware of the additional 0 needed, but I tried all this already and when I attempt a coding it states a security access is required. Then I try whatever security access codes I have got but none work. (FYI I was a VAG dealer tech for 13 years, how simple things have changed!! Lol)
Dana, I actually have a map stored for this, which I will post when I get near my laptop. But I'm not sure if it's going to be of any use. (Well, I hope I have one, as I've never used these before) | .
Okay, that works. Thanks again for the information.
